I tried to sign up. I immediately got a notice that I was being billed but I received no info on how to use the service, and no one was at the help number to explain anything. Not recommended.

Oh, and don’t buy this crap about “no robots”. They say “drop us a line anytime”, but there’s no email address with which to correspond.

I signed up because I work for an accounting firm and have begun tele-commuting. We scan everything so I figured I’d get a secure e-fax instead of plugging in a fax machine and having to first print outgoing faxes and scan incoming faxes.

I received what I thought was a mis-fax (wrong number). Then I got another. I replied to the guy that it was my number. He checked and it turned out it was HIS NUMBER TOO!!! And he’d had it for over a year!

The best the support could say was (and I quote) “There does appear to have been an issue with the routing of your fax number.”

    REALLY?!? You think!?

I deal with people’s personal information; bank account numbers, social security numbers, etc. I can’t have a supposedly secure e-fax company sending my client’s faxes to another recipient.

I was skeptical at first, now I am convinced. The only truly secure fax is the one in your office.

DO NOT FALL FOR THE HYPE. THERE ARE NO SECURE E-FAX SERVICES.
